Dr. Anita Lee MD CCFP
|
Dr. Anita Lee completed her MD at UBC, followed by a residency in family practice at Queens University. She returned to BC where she completed extra skills training in geriatrics. She has been working for over twenty years as a family physician, initially in East Vancouver, until re-establishing a practice on the North Shore in 2016 in order to work closer to home.
She enjoys the diversity of practicing medicine, and along with family practice has also worked in specialized clinics in geriatrics, refugee health, chronic pain, youth clinics, and addiction medicine, as well as held leadership positions in team-based community care. She enjoys teaching and mentoring residents and medical students as part of the UBC clinical faculty. Currently she is also working in the operating room, assisting surgeries primarily in breast cancer patients. Dr. Lee enjoys the diversity of medical issues and caring for people of all ages that each day in family medicine brings. She especially values the longitudinal relationship she has with her patients, and the privilege of caring for the whole family.
In her spare time away from the office Dr. Lee enjoys art, a good book, and almost any outdoor activity, especially running in the forest. She lives on the North Shore with her husband and three children.
